Watch Marcella Brooks talk about her experiences as a juror in the Harrell case. Show this to everyone you know. (You can see her also in "America: Freedom to Fascism, Volume 1")
Let's break from the garbage to enjoy something really, really cool: a FLYING MAN! This is the kind of rich-man's dream we can all cheer on.

Some of the world's leading anti-Scientologists have put together a very well-done amateur dramatic movie about Scientology, called "The Bridge". If you have any interest whatsoever in the subject, you should see it.

Time To Make A Stand!

In defending themselves against a federal government they claim is operating outside the government's jurisdiction, Ed and Elaine Brown have filed 42 motions in Concord, New Hampshire's, US District Court and had every one denied. The couple then spent three days in court listening to the federal government try to build an income tax case against them.

Several bits of news on the freedom front:

Ron Paul for president? What would that be worth to you? What would the campaign itself be worth to you? Think it over and prepare to chip in.

Larken Rose is out of "prison" and resuming the battle to educate America. Looks like his web site is still missing; if it's put back up I'll let you know. (I should have included a way to sign up for his email list, but I deleted his email before starting this entry; I'll try to add that later.)

"America: Freedom to Fascism" is available on DVD (and, obviously, Google video) and efforts are ongoing to get it to as many Americans as possible. It's received extremely high marks on Google and has made the top 100 there more than once, placing it alongside "Loose Change" and "Terrorstorm" as one of the most popular current freedom-oriented movies.

UPDATE: Here's the address to get on Larken's (one-way) email list: Also, here's Tessa's address:

Daniel Hopsicker has produced an excellent documentary about modern trafficking of illegal drugs in America, featuring a handful of people and things I already knew, as well as some things new to me. You should view it right now, and show it to everyone you know, especially those whose lives have been harmed by the 100% fraudulent "war on drugs" (or related contemporary maladies).

AFA would be forced to file a report to the government on a quarterly basis that contains detailed information about our organization. The required report must include identification of the organization’s expenditures, the issues focused on and the members of Congress and other federal officials who are the subject of the advocacy efforts. A separate report would be required for each policy issue the group is active on.

Read the whole ugly thing here.

Now I do have just one teeeensy little problem with this idea. But hey, what's a little government waste and inefficiency, eh? There's a war on terror, after all! (At least, there was one the very next day. Hmmmmmmmm....) We peons, on the other hand, had better mind our jots and tittles if we know what's good for us. LOL!

Totally unrelated to that (I assume) is something odd: there appear to have been 4 requests made yesterday to change my password for this blog. At least, that's what sense I can make of the 4 emails I got from in a span of a few minutes time yesterday afernoon. Did I accidentally trigger this barrage? Was someone messing around with blogger trying to hijack this blog? I don't know. If I suddenly start telling you we all do owe income taxes after all, I guess we'll have the answer. ;-)

Well, I'm back upstairs again. It's ugly, at this point, but we got all my stuff up here. Now comes the organization process. So much to go through! I'll try to post some pics soon so y'all can behold the g[l]ory.

The record couldn’t be more clear on the “North American Union” – there’s no one anywhere near the Bush administration, the Congress of the United States, Cabinet departments or even major think tanks who believes it’s a good idea to merge Canada, Mexico and the U.S. Yes, there was one article in the journal Foreign Affairs that suggested further reducing trade barriers and economic obstacles in the style of the European Union, but that article drew spirited opposition and condemnation from readers of the same magazine and other members of the Council on Foreign Relations. The goal of “North American Union” is far from a policy aim of the Council on Foreign Relations, let alone of the US government.
--Michael Medved

It's difficult to believe Medved could possibly be that uninformed, especially when he's analyzing internal CFR give and take on the very subject in question. I have to conclude, if only tentatively, that he's simply lying (while insisting, in the same column, that he "will never lie" to us). Jerome Corsi has posted an extensively-documented rebuttal.

Interestingly, Medved recommends going to US government web sites for the truth about this subject (and it looks like he's relying on the "Myths vs. Facts" page which we recently deconstructed at our Monday night Constitution class -- and which Tom DeWeese deconstructs here), yet he still claims to be "a conservative Republican". Conservatism sure isn't what it used to be!

BTW, the comments to Medved's rant are worth reading. After a few (nervously salted?) early "rah rah" replies, most of them make mincemeat of Medved's garbage. One in particular stands out, though:
